The 9th annual Minding the Arts event is presented by Audrey S. Geisel/Dr. Seuss Fund.
Chaired by Joani Nelson, this event is sure to be a memorable evening with delicious
food and a variety of musical performances ranging from jazz, to classical music,
to taiko drumming!
Minding the Arts raises funds for The Neurosciences Institute's Performing Arts Program, in which the
acclaimed auditorium is made available at no-charge to local non-profit arts and educational organizations.
The Institute absorbs the full costs of operating the Auditorium and over the last 15 years has saved local
organizations over $2.6 million in hall rental fees! To continue providing this community service - which many
local arts groups have come to depend upon in order to continue their programming – the Institute relies on the
financial support of private foundations and individuals that are committed to supporting the arts in San Diego.
